London Marathon Entry 2017
As you may (or may not) know the outcome of the London Marathon public ballot will be announced in the next few weeks, and those who have entered will soon know whether the prospect of a Winter dedicated to marathon training awaits them.
The club applies for and usually receives guaranteed London Marathon entries (A couple of people have asked about the club marathon place) As a club we appreciate the interest in the obtaining the club place is high, and as such – in the interests of fairness the following rules apply.
Eligibility for the ballot will be based on:
Being a fully paid up member and Welsh Athletics affiliated at the time you entered the London Marathon ballot in May (and you must be an existing member when the results of the ballot are announced)
That you entered the Official London Marathon ballot and failed to be successful, and are able to provide proof of entry by presentation of either London Marathon rejection letter or magazine on the night of the club draw.
You entered the ballot as a Rhondda Valley Runner (and not as a member of any other club)
The club place will be decided by a ballot during November (usually on the night of the November staggered).
Further information will follow in due course.
In the meantime if you have any questions regarding the club place please speak to Amy or Rachel
