Please read the following letter we had from the organiser.
My Name is MIA Thorne and I’m 11 years old, I have cerebral palsyand I’m hoping you can help me. I always do lots of fundraising,& Campaigning within the welsh assembly and I’m sure if you look at my twitter account @miathorne9 or google my name it will show you all the work I have done.  I am ambassador or 2 charities and I’m also a Diana award holder.

I have organised a 5K Fun run in Pontypridd Park on June 16th 2018 and I was hoping some of your runners will come join me and dress up as a super hero giving a small donation for the both charities I support. These charities have helped me in the past and support Disabled children, children with life threatening conditions and Children with autism or additional needs.

I believe everyone should have the opportunity to shine and be a superhero, and to make it fun the 5K Run/Walk/Wheelchair in order to raise money and awareness for both charities I am a ambassador for. All abilities welcome as I’m doing it in my wheelchair and running some
Please dress as a super hero and put in a donation to help support. If you are willing to do a individual sponsorship even better. Huge thanks for your support

If you can let me know if you would like to do it and how many runners as hoping to get medals for the runners.

The Merthyr 10k has been cancelled for this year. This race was a club championship race, so we have added the Summer Speedway 10k on the 17th June as alternative.

The dates are now set for our RVR next tri series of 5k running events. We will be looking to do as follows:
1. Smilog on the 18/07/2018
2. Clydach Lakes 22/08/2018
3. Barry Sidings 12/9/2018
Registration will be at 6:30pm at each of the events, for a 7pm start.

Entry is £15 for all 3 or £6 per race. RVR sports visors will be provided if you enter all 3 races.
Race numbers will be on sale soon. If your not on the facebook page then either email the website address or let one of the committee know at training.
ALL PROCEEDS TO GO TO LOCAL RVR CHOSEN CHARITY.

Yes RVR are making another appearance this year to Cottrell Park relays. We have many teams entering and sure that all attendees will enjoy this great team event.
 So on the 7th of June 2018 we shout "C'mon RVR", when the baton changes hands.

 Good news, after re-checking the RVR calendar we are pleased to announce the introduction of a new race this year in the 10mile category. This race will replace the cancelled San Dom 10 and will take us back to 4 races as originally planned. This race is scheduled to take place on Sunday the 9th of September 2018

Please be aware that due to road closures, we are changing the pack run route this week (Wednesday 11/04/2018) Please see group leaders or committee members, for changes before running.

Due to the cancellation of the San Dom 10mile this year, it has been decided to not add an additional 10mile race to the club championship calendar this year. There are still two 10mile races out-standing. Please see the Club Championship page for details of races.
